Background

The P277 is a low cost cordless drill released by Ryobi. It is a durable drill that comes with a lot of extra features differentiating it from other cordless drills, but is most recognizable for its smaller size and light weight (3.1 pounds without battery).

The Ryobi P277 features a 24 position clutch that allows easy control of torque. The speed of the drill's rotation can range from 440 to 1600 RPM depending on the position of the speed selector.

A magnetic tray is located at the base of the handle, allowing the user to store screws and small metal components.

Identification

The Ryobi P277 can be identified by the bright neon green color with gray details. “Ryobi” is in bold and capitalized silver letters along the side of the drill. The word “One” followed by a plus sign is also printed at the lower side of the drill in all caps. There is also a magnetic tray labeled with a symbol of a magnet on the base of the device.
