iPad Air 5

The iPad Air 5th generation was announced on March 8th and released March 18th of 2022 alongside the 3rd generation iPhone SE, Mac Studio, and Studio Display. Compared to the iPad Air 4th generation, the most notable upgrade is the M1 chip featuring a next-generation Neural Engine and 5G compatibility (with the cellular model). The 12 MP front camera is a significant upgrade compared to the 4th generation’s 7 MP one. Apple also claims the USB-C transfer speeds are two times faster than the previous generation.

The 5th generation of the iPad Air starts at $599 for the Wi-Fi model and $749 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. It is available in Space Gray, Pink, Purple, Blue, and Starlight colors.
