Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L Fan Replacement

Introduction

The fan is the cooling component for the laptop to make sure it doesn't overheat. If you feel your laptop burning you lap or anywhere it may be sitting, it is time to replace the fan. It can even turn off if your laptop is running too hot. However it is a good thing that the fan is an easy fix to help with the cooling system. Ensure that the laptop is turned off for a couple minutes or more before to let it cool off so you can open it up and replace the fan.

What you need

  1. Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L Fan Replacement, Lower Case: step 1, image 1 of 2 Acer Aspire 3 A315-58-350L Fan Replacement, Lower Case: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Remove the eleven 7 mm Phillips screws that secure the lower case.

    • Insert an opening tool into the seam between the lower case and chassis.

    • Pry along the perimeter until the lower case releases.

    • Lift off the lower case.

    • Use tweezers to remove the black tape that secures the fan cable.

    • Remove both of the 4 mm Phillips screws that secure the fan.

    • Use tweezers to disconnect the white fan connector from its motherboard socket.

    • Lift the fan up and out of the chassis.
