What you need

  1. Beats Solo 3 Motherboard Replacement, Motherboard: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Use an opening tool to open the headband at the color seam.

    • The audio board is located inside the "Left" ear cup.

    Tweezers

    • Use a pair of tweezers to carefully remove the yellow polyimide tape that is attached to the morherboard.

  3. Beats Solo 3 Motherboard Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • There will be three bundled cables attached to the motherboard. Carefully pull them out of each prong.

    • Make sure to take note of which one belongs where for reassembly later.

  4. Beats Solo 3 Motherboard Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the four screws that hold the motherboard in place.

    • The cap on the outside of the headphones will fall off once the final screw is removed. Do not fear that something broke. Simply reattach during reassembly phase

  5. Beats Solo 3 Motherboard Replacement: step 5, image 1 of 1
    • Finally, remove and replace the motherboard.

hey, I'm working on my headphones rn because of a connectivity issue. I believe I found the problem: one of the bottom bundled cables is cracked on the plastic casing that connects the wires to the motherboard, and it's the bottom one (the one unplugged in your picture). Do you know that that wire/cord does? is it related to the Bluetooth or connectivity of the headphones?
