Bissell Zing 2156A Dust Tank and Dust Tank Filters Replacement

Introduction

The Bissell Zing 2156A dust tank, also known as the dust canister or "bag," holds vacuumed material for easy disposal later on. This guide will tell you how take apart the dust tank and access the filter. The filter inside the dust tank naturally fills with dust and debris, and must be periodically cleaned or replaced. For full troubleshooting, refer to this guide. The filter can safely be disposed of with any other household trash.

Press the grey button while pulling the dirt tank up.

Twist the top green lid clockwise while holding the main dirt tank assembly still.
Once the top green lid can no longer be rotated, remove it from the rest of the dirt tank assembly.
Make sure to empty the tank first, or be prepared for a mess!
To just remove dust, the bottom button can be used to open the release.
