Cruiser Bike Rear Wheel Replacement

What you need

    • Flip your bike so the seat and handlebars are on the ground.

    • This will make it easier to access tire.

    • Slip the chain onto the crank and rear cog. Then insert wheel into rear drop-outs.

    • Make sure that the chain is on the correct side of the wheel.

    • Handle the chain carefully to ensure a successful tire replacement.

    • Tighten brake strap using screwdriver and 10 mm socket wrench.

    • Hold the nut on the inside (near the spokes) with wrench as you tighten the screw with the screwdriver.

    • You will know the socket wrench is has finished tightening when you feel resistance.

    • Center the wheel and pull back to tighten the chain.

    • If the bike wheel is unusable use tire levers to remove tire.

    • With the wheel pulled back, tighten the two axle nuts using the 15 mm socket wrench.

    • Tighten the non-drive side (side without the chain) first.

    • The wheel will angle as you tighten. Keep it centered with your hand as you finish tightening both axle nuts.

    • Use a tire pump to make sure the tire is full of air and ready to ride.
