Step 1 Slide latch to remove battery.

• Shut down your computer. Disconnect all power sources before opening the computer cover or panels.
• Slide and hold the battery-bay latch release on the bottom of the computer, and then remove the battery from the bay.

Step 2 Install the battery.
• To replace the battery [with a new battery], follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
