What you need

    • If the new drive is used, be sure to format it!

    • Be sure to have a flash drive or DVD with your preferred OS on it.

    • Power off the laptop and remove the AC adapter.

    • Keep the screws somewhere you won't lose them.

    • Undo the Phillips #1 screw keeping the drive in the bracket.
