What you need

Tools

  1. Dell Vostro 3300 Hard Drive Replacement, Sliding the Latch: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Slide the battery release latch to the unlock position.

    • Slide the other battery release latch to the unlock position.

    • Slide the battery and remove it from the computer.

    • Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

    • Lift up the base cover and remove it from the computer.

    • Pull up on the black hard-drive release tab and lift the hard-drive assembly up and away from the computer.

    • Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket to the hard drive.

    • Remove the hard-drive adapter from the hard-drive assembly.

    • Lift the hard-drive bracket up and away from the hard drive.
