EasySMX ESM-9100 Joystick Replacement

What you need

  1. EasySMX ESM-9100 Joystick Replacement, Bottom Case: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Place the controller face down on a solid surface.

    • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven 10 mm screws from the back cover.

    • The order does not matter.

    • Use the iFixit opening tool to pry off the back cover and remove it to reveal the internal components.

    • Place the cover off to the side, then grab the circuit board and gently remove it from the front cover.

    • Be careful when removing the back cover, the components in this controller are loosely attached and can fall out easily.

    • Firmly pull off the two analog sticks (joysticks) from the potentiometers.

    • Be careful when removing the analog sticks as excessive force can cause damage to the potentiometer.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
