Introduction
This guide will show you how to replace the RAM in a HP 15-ay078nr laptop. RAM is used as a short term memory for things that the computer is currently working on, so that it is easily accessible and can be deleted after the computer is done with the current task. Without RAM, none of the files on the computer would be able to work. Bad RAM can result in your device not turning on and not functioning correctly. If this describes your device’s issues, find more troubleshooting information here to determine if the RAM should be replaced.
Before you begin, make sure the device is off and not connected to a power source. RAM does not hold any of the device’s long-term memory, meaning all your saved files will be safe after the replacement is complete.
