  1. HP EliteBook 1040 G4 Back Cover Replacement, Back Cover: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the eight 5 mm screws securing the back cover to the chassis.

    • Lift the back cover up and off the device.
