This guide will assist you in removing the back panel of your computer so you can access its components.

Keep in mind that this is not a replacement guide, however it is a prerequisite guide to other replacement guides.

Please follow instructions as they appear.

What you need

Tools

  1. HP EliteBook 8560w Back Panel Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 2 HP EliteBook 8560w Back Panel Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Make sure your device is powered off and disconnected from the power adapter.

    • Slide the lock all the way to the left. The battery should pop up.

    • Pull the battery out.

    • Slide the lock all the way to the right and remove the M2.5x8mm screw with a Philips #0 screwdriver.

    • Make sure your device is turned off and your battery is removed.

    • Slide the panel towards you and lift it up to open and access the back of the computer.
