How to clean the Epson Stylus Photo 1400

Go to step 1The purpose of this guide is to show how to clean the Epson Stylus Photo 1400. Maintenance should be done several times per year for consistent performance.
- Caution: Do not touch the gears or any other parts inside the printer.
What you need

Turn off the printer.

Remove all paper and CD/DVD tray.

Disconnect power from wall socket.

Disconnect USB cord from printer.

Wipe off the roller on the bottom with the cloth.

Clean off any dust on the plastic tray.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Thank you! my wonderful printer now prints every line in my Word.docx docs once again. I had no trouble with photo printing, but couldn’t print a letter without losing a few line - and a picture with regular printing with it would have lines streaking through it in blue! Now she works again - my wonderful 1400 workhorse!
