Introduction
The Apple MagSafe Battery Pack will ordinarily only charge an iPhone to 90%. This can be overridden with the Low Power Mode option in Control Center.
-
-
Attach the MagSafe Battery Pack to the MagSafe location on the back of the iPhone.
-
-
-
An onscreen toast will appear indicating the presence of the Battery Pack. The toast will indicate the following:
-
The charge level of the iPhone (icon and percentage).
-
The charge level of the Battery Pack (icon).
-
Indicate that the iPhone is accepting a charge.
-
Home screen widgets for Battery will indicate the charge level of the Battery Pack. The widget may also indicate if the Battery Pack is being charged (i.e. by cable, or by reverse charging).
-
-
-
-
Ensure that the Low Power Mode option is available in Control Center.
-
Enter Settings, Control Center. If "Low Power Mode" is not listed under "Included Controls," scroll down to "More Controls" and click the green plus sign to add it.
-
Verify it is now available under "Included Controls," and exit Settings.
-
-
-
Bring up the Control Center in iOS on your iPhone. (Method depends upon the model and iOS version. Generally, swipe down from the upper right corner.)
-
Locate the Low Power Mode button, and tap it.
-
Enable the "Charge past 90%" option now available with the MagSafe Battery Pack attached.
-
Tap the screen to dismiss the popup, then dismiss the Control Center.
