What you need

    • Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to disconnect the four wires from the back of the on/off switch.

    • During reassembly, ensure the wires are connected back into their original locations and the on/off switch is not upside-down.

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to press the sides of the on/off switch through the opening in the electrical box.

    • Remove the fastener.

    • Slide the cap off of the strain relief fitting.

    • Feed the power cord and its black, white, and green wires out through the strain relief fitting.

    • Transfer the strain relief fitting cap onto the new power cord.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw securing the capacitor support.

    • Use a pair of needle nose pliers to disconnect the red and black wires from the capacitor.

    • Remove the capacitor.

    • Use tape or a zip tie to differentiate this set of red and white wires from the other set of red and white wires running to the on/off switch to ensure proper reinstallation.

Very well presented. The photos were very sharp and clear. From looking at your photos it would apear that you can reverse the motor rotation by reversing the 2 capacitor leads. This would make empting the mixer eaiser in some situations. Do you agree?
