Introduction
This guide is going to show you how to replace the back panel on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (6th gen). This is a simple and fast repair that will enable you to access the internal components of your laptop or replace the back case if it has been damaged.
Before you begin the repair, turn off your laptop and unplug it from the charging adapter.

Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the five 5 mm screws that secure the base panel.

Wedge a spudger between the base panel and chassis, and pry around the entire perimeter until you hear a pop and the base panel releases.

Lift the base panel up and off of the chassis.
