Marshall Stanmore II Subwoofer Assembly Replacement

What you need

    • Turn off the device and unplug the cable from the wall and the speaker.

    • Lay the speaker with the back panel facing up on a flat, stable work surface.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the ten 20.5 mm screws that secure the rear panel to the chassis.

    • Carefully lift the rear panel and let it rest on an object, like a stack of books, to avoid straining the cables.

    • Do not attempt to fully remove the panel, as this will damage the connections inside.

    • Pull back the clear sheaths on the end of each wire to expose the terminals.

    • Using a pair of tweezers, or your fingernail, depress the small latch and gently pull the wire off of the metal tabs.

    • Failure to press the latch while pulling could damage the subwoofer and/or wires.

    • Remove the six 20.5 mm T20 Torx screws that secure the subwoofer to the housing.

    • The subwoofer assembly contains a very strong magnet, so the screwdriver and screws may occasionally stick to the side of the assembly.

    • Carefully lift the subwoofer assembly away from the housing.

    • Optional: Inspect the felt gasket on the speaker frame for any tears or foreign material.
