Introduction
Replace the vibrator daughterboard in your Nexus 9. It connects the motherboard to the lower speaker, vibrator, and a 3-axis compass. The photos in this guide show the battery removed, but it is not necessary to remove the battery to get to the daughterboard.

With your fingers, carefully pry off the back plastic casing. Starting at the corners is usually the easiest.

Disconnect the two ZIF connectors attached to the daughterboards.

Gently pull on the ribbon cable to remove it.
