Introduction

Go to step 1

If your Razer BlackShark V2 foam ear cushions are shedding particles or detaching from the device (Razer Blackshark V2 Troubleshooting Page, "Ear Cushions Falling Apart"), this guide will assist you in their replacement. Be sure to be mindful of which layer of the headset assembly you're taking apart and that you don't adversely damage any holds, the rubber lining under the cushions, or the headset itself when applying pressure.

    • The left side of the headset has the cable attachment and the volume control knob.

  2. Razer BlackShark V2 Ear Cushion Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Scoop your middle and ring finger underneath the top or bottom inner portion of the ear cushion.

    • You should feel a hard plastic ridge.

    • Pull from the hard plastic ridge, being sure not to pull from the soft cushion.

    • Slowly apply pressure to prevent damage.

grab the inside with middle and ring finger from underneath the bottom inner portion of the ear cushion. and push with your thumb from the outside. (the clips face the oudside only scooping doesnt work great)

    • If you are replacing both ear cushions, repeat Steps 1-4 for the other side. Then, insert the new ear cushions by lining up the clips in their respective holes and applying even pressure until they audibly click.

Thanks - this was very helpful. It was difficult to remove the retainer clip using my fingers - I found it much easier to use the back of a spoon (with a rounded edge) and getting more leverage that way.
