Introduction
Follow this guide to remove and replace a faulty battery in your Marshall Monitor II ANC headphones.
If your battery is swollen, take appropriate precautions.
For your safety, discharge your battery below 25% before disassembling your phone. This reduces the risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is accidentally damaged during the repair.
What you need
-
-
The battery is located in the right cup of your headphones. First you need to remove the ear cushion. Insert a spudger between the cushion and the cup and move it around the cup to remove the cushion.
-
-
-
-
The battery is glued to two strips of sponge rubber who serve as spacers. Insert the spudger between the battery and the rubber to remove the battery.
-
Use the drenched cotton swab again if the battery sticks in place and cannot be removed easily.
-
After removing the battery clean the sponge rubber from any residual glue.
-
-
-
Prepare the new battery. You might have to shorten the cables a bit first. Take care here as well that the cable ends don't touch.
-
Solder the cables of the new battery one after the other. Start with the wihte/yellow and then the red cable. Then cover the already soldered cables insulating tape to prevent accidental touching when soldering the black cable.

After replacing the battery, this Marchall Monitor ANC II headphone still does not load the battery as it should.
You can load the battery fully, but when you release the loading cable, the battery shows 0% again.
A factory reset did't solve the problem.
Ditch the headphone from the Marchall app and connect it again like a new headphone didn't solve it either.
So i got stuck with a 2 year+ old (not cheap) headphone that does not work any more.
Mmmm, you can still use it with the 3,5mm cable but then you have no ANC.
I read that lot of people have this problem, we need a solution otherwise all the headphones are becoming waste.
