Introduction

Go to step 1

The repair guide for the SIM card is necessary to working with the device. Have a tool kit on hand, and make sure that the device is off before working with it. Make sure the SIM card is taken out carefully. Electrical hazards could occur if these requirements are not followed. If the device still fails to work, consider replacing the SIM card as it would be easier to work with.

Note: The device shown in these pictures does not contain the SIM card.

    • Hold the device with your non-dominant hand, looking at the back of the device, taking note of the small notch along the edge.

    • While holding the device with your non-dominant hand, use your dominant hand to gently pry the back casing off the device. The most effective way to do this is by gripping the small notch.

    • If it doesn't come off, try using alternative grips that are the most comfortable for you. Try using your fingernails to pry up at the corner or around the edge of the backing. The case should come off easily.

    • The back should be completely removed.

    • The battery should now be visible. Gently grasp the edges to lift it out of the device.

    • The device in picture no longer has a battery but a normal device will likely have a battery once opened.

    • Now that the battery is out, the SIM Card should be visible. Simply grasp it and pull it out of the device.

    • The device in picture no longer has a SIM card but a normal device will likely have a SIM card once opened.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
