Then, [https://guide-images.cdn.ifixit.com/igi/pMWZ6TRiZQREFKfU\|thread it past the cable\|new_window=true] to remove it.
+	[* icon_caution] The black rubber gasket is lightly adhered to the home button. Take care not to rip the gasket while removing it.
+	[* black] If the gasket is no longer sticky enough to adhere to the home button, use [guide\|113604\|pre-cut adhesive\|new_window=true] to secure it.
+	[* icon_reminder] To reinstall the home button:
+	[* black] Apply pre-cut adhesive or [guide\|126585\|custom adhesive\|new_window=true] to the display assembly where the black rubber gasket and home button cable will rest.
+	[* black] Rotate the home button so that the home button cable sits where it was before disassembly. Make sure the home button cable can be inserted into its ZIF connector.
+	[* black] Center the home button so that it fits into its slot in the display. Then, press down firmly on the gasket and cable.
