-[* black] Grab the power connector by its cables and pull it straight out of its socket on the optical drive.
+[* black] Gently wiggle the white power connector until loose, then gently pull the cables (taking caution not to pull the cables out of the adapter) straight out of its socket on the optical drive.
[* black] Disconnect the SATA data connector from its socket on the optical drive by pulling it straight away.
