+[* black] Disconnecting the battery is much more feasible if the battery is distached from the back cover. This will allow full access to the connector at the main board from the top and prevent any stress on the cable.
+[* black] The glue below the battery can be slightly heated by putting the back cover on top of a room heating turned in full operation
+[* black] From the top of the ipod use a broad flat screwdriver or plastic tool, wiggling it cautiously between the battery and the back cover

+[* icon_caution] Be also very carful not to damage the flat cable connecting to the on/off switch, which is glued below the battery. It is running from the black tape, under which there is the split of the cable from the main board to 1. the on/off switch and 2. to the audio output connector
