Separate and remove the battery from the midframe.

If the battery is deformed, dented, or damaged in any way, don't reinstall it. Reinstalling a damaged battery is a potential safety hazard. Replace it with a new one.

During reassembly, follow this guide if you are using a pre-cut adhesive card to reinstall the battery.
