This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Nintendo 3DS Game Card (Cartridge), use our service manual.

  1. Nintendo 3DS Game Card Teardown/How to Open, Locate the Tab on the Game Card: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Find the tab on the left side of the cartridge.

  2. Nintendo 3DS Game Card Teardown/How to Open, Pry open the Cartridge: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Use your fingernails to pop open the top from the bottom

    • BE CAREFUL WHILE DOING THIS. If you aren’t careful, the game case may crack and or not go back together.

  4. Nintendo 3DS Game Card Teardown/How to Open, Pry around the rest of the Game Card with an Opening Tool: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Go around all parts of the cartridge and do not crack the plastic.

    • Remove the top of the Game Card with your fingers.

    You just lift it out of the shell. It is not stuck in there, you can just take it out. You can also find images of 3DS PCB’s online I’m sure.
