Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 Keyboard Is Not Working

One of the easiest fixes can be done with a simple Restart.

• Locate the Windows’ Start and locate the Power button from there click the Restart option, it should Restart the system.

Sometimes, objects or debris will get lodged into the keyboard’s crevices. It is important to check and clean the components as necessary.

1. Shut down the laptop completely.

2. Carefully, flip the laptop upside down and gently shake to free any debris that might have been stuck between keys.

3.  Use a minimal amount of isopropyl alcohol on a lint- free cloth, ensuring that the liquid does not dip in or between the keys of the keyboard. Allow the liquid to dry.

4. In the same fashion, compressed air can be used by spraying it directly on to the keyboard to loosen debris.

The troubleshooter is a great tool to use when diagnosing the keyboard.

• Begin by typing Settings into the Start search. From there, in the settings locate System and find the Troubleshoot section. Select the Other troubleshooter's section and click on Keyboard and Run, this should run the troubleshooter to find and fix the issues associated with the keyboard.

Sometimes the systems drivers for devices have been outdated and create bugs for the hardware functionality.

• To fix this, locate the device’s drivers by opening the Windows’ Start Menu and typing “Control Panel”. From there, locate the Device Manager and click on “Keyboards”. Next, right-click on the keyboard device and the options “Update driver” or “Uninstall device” should appear. It is suggested to update the drivers first and then try the uninstalling and reinstalling method.  Finally, reboot the system. Automatically, the drivers should reinstall onto the system after reboot.
• However, on the chance that they don’t or there is still trouble with the drivers, go the official Lenovo website and locate and download the drivers for the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 keyboard.

Filter keys is a feature that allows the laptop to ignore repeated keyboard patterns. In many cases this can be beneficial, but in other cases it may interfere with the responsiveness of the keyboard. To check this, open the settings and locate the Accessibility option, from there find the Keyboard section and make sure all options are turned off.
