Lining up the coil itself is not the critical item. Getting the connector to pad lined up to contact the pins is crucial item. Place the back on the long edge with the screw holes lined up to align the pad in that direction, and then do the same with the short edge.

It took three times before I got mine aligned properly. A flashlight help see the alignment.
