shutdown your computer, unplug the plug, and then while the computer is unplugged, hit the power button. then plug it back it, and hit the power button to start it. then when the screen turns on, immediatly hold command alt p r until the computer screen goes black and you hear a chime. then release the keys and tada!

Read morebattery is power rail is probably shot. check the components on the battery power rails with a multimeter. clean off board and do ultrasonic cleaning. have bga chip xrays done, if your ocd. I am working on hacking the touch id pairing, but until I succeed, your touch id is shot forever. only the mighty apple men (and women) can fix it

This is probably the result of electrostatic damage, because although (maybe) you and (definitely) me have esd safe mats and tweezers and wristbands, this dumb diy-er probably didn't. Huge surges of voltage went where they shouldn't have, and burn microscopic holes in the components. Or check the Liquid stickers. Maybe the tinkerer got it wet. Anyway, too bad. Read moreaw ****. I did the same thing. I handled one of my phones internal working a ton without ESD protection. Am I screwed? I normally use an iPhone and since I just rebuilt my samsung the touchscreen doesn't work very well. I now realize my mistake, and wot do it again in the future,but I wonder if it's too late and I'm screwed, or if I could take it to samsung and have diagnostic tests done to see whether or not I really am screwed. Thanks a lot whoever's out there.

you can replace it yourself, but good luck finding quality parts! only apple sells those! And make sure you use an antistatic wrist strap.
