Symptoms look like there is something wrong with the GPU, not necessarily the main chip, but also the GPU power line and so on... As mentioned you should find where the shorted(?) capacitor belongs (maybe is from BIOS line), replace it and go from there. Sadly if a lot of power went through to GPU chip (if it is the GPU) then it could be shot....
Read moreUnplug the flex cable and carefully inspect both the connectors (M/B and flex) for any debris. Once had the same problem and it was a super tiny piece of something (plastic?) stuck in there so one pin had no contact. Also be 100% sure that the connector seats fine Hope this helps
Read moreSo it seems that the problem is the GPU card. Never had this issue before. So this is a new one. Tested the board with no GPU attached and it works fine. I also got a GPU from a friend which is 100% good, tested, and it works fine. Got fanspin and so on… So will try to repair the GPU and see what happens Kudos to everyone!
Read moreHad this issue with an iPhone 7 and the front camera-proximity etc. was faulty. I also disconnected it but it kept looping. I think that the iPhone 7 does a pre-boot check and if there is a problem detected, it won’t boot. In my case i replaced the flex cable and everything was ok. I also had the same again and the fault was on the flex cable of the home button Good luck
Read moreIf you r looking to replace the glass only, then you are in hard luck. In this machine, the glass is glued to the lcd so you can’t replace the glass only as in the previous models (a1278). Also replacing the glass-lcd assembly, is a great pain in the ass. So i would recommend to buy a complete assembly. If that is the case pay attention to the camera connector to match your own exactly Cheers

Read moreI would connect the old fan again, just to see if you have the same issue. If that’s the case then you have a board issue as posted before. If it works fine with the old fan, then there is an issue with the new fan. In any case i would try an smc and pram reset with the new fan
