You will have to buy a replacement. You cannot repair the screen if it isn’t working.

If the ribbon cable has a tear in it your going to have to buy another screen

Yes, i have tried to get mine back together and i have put in the ribbon cables in backwards? The one that goes to the back side of the board (black stripe) and the smaller and larger one on the front of the motherboard. This will be the 3rd time i try it, i am triple checking everything, i am so close, i will not give up. Please everyone, check everything several times to save yourself a lot of grief. On Step 9 please add something like this to the description. I didn’t fully understand what was said and i ended up breaking my power connector off the motherboard. I luckily went to Ebay and someone had a replacement thankfully that i was able to solder back on the motherboard. ——————To remove the power wire connector off the motherboard use a small flathead screwdriver to push the white part of the connector straight up. If you try to pull it back like a standard connector it will break! ————-
