Hi Scott, Thanks for writing on here, it sounds as if the issue is with the phone, I think we were pretty good to keep suppling the LCD screens to you, considering the issues. If you are still getting the issue we would be happy for you to send the phone to us so we may have a look at the phone to see if we can get to the bottom of the issues. Best Regards iParts4u
Unfortunately not the LCD digitizer panel has been damaged, you will need to replace the LCD panel to resolve the issue. Many suppliers out there with these at a reasonable cost though and should not take longer than 30 minutes to fix. Just ensure you disconnect the battery before attempting repair.
Unless you have the correct machinery it is unlikely that you will be able to safely remove damaged glass and replace it, the best course of action would be to replace the LCD assembly which can be found on the below link.
Hi, It sounds as if the flex cable has been damaged, if this has been removed wrongly you may have broken the solder joint which connects both parts of this cable this appears to be a common issue with repairs on these as plenty of our customers appear to do this. When removing this cable you must work from right to left. Spam removed
Can you get the phone in DFU mode, with either battery installed it sounds like you have a software error, or perhaps one of the filters have been damaged on the board, have you tried looking around the battery connection to see if there is any board damage, can you confirm you used the correct screws for the correct holes, seen this issue when the wrong screw is used.
Hi, Can you post a picture of your board and point to the diode you need to replace I'm confident we would have stock of the board part you need. Update (07/17/2018): Hi Ian, I have looked in to this and we have this instock, however you need to look to see if it is Black or a glass diode the part number is D4020 is black or D4021 is glass,Spam removed
this sounds as if the battery has started to fail. If its still within the warranty period I would go back to Apple, alternatively you could buy a replacement here which will be a good quality replacement. Spam removed
