There are a few things that you need to check for: 1. When you put the earbuds in the case, does a white light appear. That light indicates whether or not the earbud is charging. 2. What percent does your phone say the earbuds battery level is at? That will let you know whether the battery of the earbud is actually being charged. Often times the issue is that the copper charging contacts on the bottom of the earbud and the case become obstructed by lint and grime preventing a proper connecting from being made. For the earbuds, try to find something thin enough to fit in the those holes and glenty clean off the charging contacts. I used a tiny flat head from my mini screwdriver set that i wrapped a small piece of papertowel around. For the case, i stuck a small piece of paper towel into the earbud well and used a plastic spudger and pick tool to get down there to clean out ant grim
They don't use the greatest adhesive on the rubber tips so i just ripped them off and used the earbuds as is. Still comfortable for me personally. If the rubber hasn't started swelling and hasn't reached the point of no return yet, you might consider using something like 3m 94 primer to reattach it. If you decide to rip them off, you will need to put some sort of tape inside the top of the case that will apply a bit of downward pressure when the lid is closed so that the earbuds make proper connection with the charging contacts and aren't jostled loose while in the case.
The screen connection on the bottom of the laptop may be coming loose. A stacked a few pieces of electrical tape (tesa tape in my case) on top of the connector high enough that it would wedge the connector against the bottom cover, keeping it securely mounted.
