You could restart the computer, eject the drive on my computer, put the paper clip in manual eject, or open the laptop and check the connection of the drive. If none of those work then you have to take off the face plate of the drive stick an paper clip or small flat head screw driver( the one for glasses) and eject the drive while gently prying on it. This will open the drive but not fix the problem. If you do not know how to rebuild the drive at this point best to buy a new one.
