Perhaps others having the same question may find this info helpful. Since there were no answers to my original question, I contacted Bose directly. They were very helpful when I asked the question about battery compatibility. Bose offers to troubleshoot and repair my Mini Soundlink for a $50 flat fee including shipping to their facility and back. That was a winner for me in this case if you take into consideration the cost of the replacement battery sold here $39 (I don’t know if there is a shipping fee charged by Ifixit) plus a Bose Technician testing and repairing it. No Brainer.
