I bought a home button assembly from Fixez.com. Only once I got in there to replace it did I realize: there doesn't appear to be any circuit on the cable surface… unlike the one in my iPhone SE (old school) and the ones pictured here on iFixit. i ended up reinstalling the old assembly (onto new phone face). I’m new to this - is that typical? Would the part come incomplete or should I have installed it anyway?

hi - for those of us who have no idea what these parts are or how we might pry them off? where do we go? really, i can guess what a “motor spindle” might be but i’m clueless.
