I also did not have a temp sensor cable. Nothing to be found.
Excellent guide! I didn’t need the suction cups. Pull w/ fingers.
Long story short, I have 2 Thunderbolt Displays. TD1 flickers after 10-15 minutes then gives out. TD2 around 20-30 minutes will black out but kick back on right away, and I lose sound output to it, and for sound output to show back up in the settings, I have to disconnect then reconnect.
Tried daisy-chaining MacBook Pro<—TD2<—TD1 and works, but then flickering symptoms again.
Tried daisy-chaining MacBook Pro<—TD1<—TD2 and found out that TD1’s TB port on the back doesn’t work.
I bought one new TB/MagSafe cable from Amazon, used this guide, and finished the job on TD1 in an hour. Again, excellent guide. BUT, I’m still having flickering problems on TD1 when running itself or by daisy-chaining MacBook Pro<—TD2<—TD1
BUT! MacBook Pro<—TD1<—TD2, TD1’s TB port on the back works now, and haven’t seen any flickers about an hour in on TD1. However, TD2 gave up once, but kicked back faster than before.
Will order another replacement and do the same job on TD2.
Just finished this, forward and backward, display assembly works fine. Awesome guide, and very helpful. I ‘skipped’ one of the steps mentioning a screw under or near the fan, but ended up just removing it anyway to stay ‘on track’ with the guide (coming backward to finish). I’ve done many fixes with ifixit guides, and they’ve been awesome, helpful, super straightforward! Done in an hour. Probably could’ve done faster but The Office is playing.
Did a combination of a screen replacement and back glass replacement. Great guides and easy to follow. However, I ordered a front screen from ifixit.com and received a screen that was already attached to the frame part, so I still had to figure out how to get some other parts like the speaker, heat sink, and other little parts and transfer them to the new frame.
Did a combination of the rear glass and front screen replacement for my dad’s LG G6. Easy. Great guide.
Did a combination of the hard drive replacement cable, a hard drive swap to SSD, and battery swap. Super easy. Great instructions! Thank ya!

Just finished this project on my mother’s iPhone 6+ using the ifixit replacement battery with the ifixit Pro Tool Kit and iOpener. Excellent and easy guide, word for word, with the video to help out. I loved that this model phone didn’t need the screen adhesive like I’ve seen on other phones such as the LG G6. The hardest and most time consuming part was getting getting the dead battery out…. I tried the floss trick….
Keep up the good work! Thanks!
