Connector wires face upwards on this piece.

Glass screen cover came out just using my fingernails. Used a tupperware container as a prop to keep the screen at a good angle to access the cords underneath.

Confirming it's not the black/brown, but the one to its left in the photos.

Mine is black/WHITE rather than black/black, though. I believe the photo also shows it as black/white. It has a black casing over the two wires farther down, which is likely where the confusion is coming from?

Sorry, I didn't have any way to measure it. Just tried all the hex tools I had til I found one that fit.

I think I figured it out. They're for the back panel's top corners. Someone let me know if I'm wrong!

If anybody knows where those two longer phillips head black screws go, please comment and I'll add it here!

Thanks for the comments! Those plastic tools are called "spludgers," the internet tells me, so I added that to the guide. I also put a note in about the panel order, since re-doing the guide would be a pretty big job, but I suspect you're right.
