Almost the same symptom on my oppo bdp-93: after pressing the Power button the player freezes. The red led goes off (the light of blue led did not show) and nothing was displayed on the front panel. Tried to open tray by remote or local button (also tried to reset the display settings) but nothing happened. Solved by replacing all the capacitors in power supply board. To my surprise the original capacitors were from SusCon and Acon (see photo). The values of capacitors: 1 x 120 uF/450V ; 2 x 2200 uF/16V; 3 x 470uF/35V ; 5 x 220uF/35V; 2 x 100uF/25V. I think more and more Oppo bdp-93 players will start to fail because of these old caps.
