After figuring out how to physically maintain the toner cartridge, the next fun issue is dealing with the onboard toner level chips which intentionally make it difficult to simply add more toner. Lots of old printers would be useful to use if we did not have to throw them away because a toner cartridge cost more than a new printer that comes with a new toner cartridge.
