I must have a different unit. There was no black pin. But, there is a push button switch, that is on the right side of the washer, that the door latch pushes in...to close the limit switch. Unplug machine. Steps-Remove the 2 plastic covers that face you when the door is open. Then remove the 2 Phillips/5/16" nut driver head screws...1 left side, 1 right side, put them in a lid<do not loose you need them. Next, Access the back, there are 2 round headed, pan head machine screws, one each side...to see which ones, gently tilt upperwards the machine cover. The screws are on a plastic tab. After screws are out, tilt the upper assembly from the front. There is a red string, gently pull it. I sprayed a little WD-40 into the switch and pushed it till it stopped sticking closed. Next time, I will wire around the switch. After I figure out if it is normally open or normally closed.
