SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS + Sintech Adapter (Working on all 2012 > 2015 Pros & 2017 Airs without any Issues.

The firmware on the Samsung EVO 970 MUST be 2B2QEXM7 or 4B2QEXM - 1B2QEXM7 & 3B2QEXM7 have 'problems'.

It is best to check and update if necessary the FW on a windows desktop straight out the box BEFORE formatting it using Samsung Magician Software (There are other methods but this way is likely the easiest).

All the recent Samsungs shipped with the good 2B2QEXM7 (Mine did) if so there is no need to update that, but if it has the 1B2QEXM7 or 3B2QEXM7 then it needs to be updated to 2B2QEXM7 or 4B2QEXM7 respectively. You cannot update from 1B2QEXM7 to 4B2QEXM don't try it.

It is either 2B2QEXM7 or 4B2QEXM7 for a mac system.

Samsung 970 EVO Plus with a Sintech adapter and your flying.

I had a 2012 A1465 11" MB Air with a King Max 256 GB SSD in it without an adapter! I have no idea how it was done or who made it custom to fit but it works with no issues, I transferred it to a 13" 2012 MB Air and it is running nicely. I will update to what exact model SSD it was ASAP as I have the unit to my niece.

The screen I have here is stuck solid and I don't want to melt anything inside....

Why doesn't anyone give an idea of the temperature to heat this with? 80? 100? 200?
