- For step 15 I found it easier to use two spudges and walk them down the edges. One to hold it up slightly and the other to pop the clip off.
- Step 17 confused me a little because some of the lift tabs are the white plastic and some of them are the black plastic. Whatever is in the back (closest to the cable) is the part that lifts up.
- My Asus G751JY had 2 additional screws for step 23/24 after removing the metal plates but they were pretty obvious.
- For step 27; the battery has plastic nubs in the front that hook under the motherboard and has little plastic tabs that hook under the case, preventing it from smoothly being lifted up. It worked for me to tug the battery toward the case (bowing it out slightly) and then rolling the front nubs carefully out from under the motherboard. Afterward, the whole unit finished rolling up and out without issue.
Step 7 required a bit more force to pull the cable out of its connector housing (after unlocking the black clip). It needs to be pulled directly backward which is difficult to do with the cable's 90 degree bend. I found it easier on the second earbud to unstick the battery first so I could manipulate both the angle of the board and the cable at the same time. Your mileage may vary.
To that end, I found that rolling a toothpick backward while pushing forward under the circuit board in step 8 was an effective way to separate the sticky pad from the battery without creating any gummy ripples.
