Hi, my name is Parmida Baradar, and I am a second-year university student at York University. I am planning to major in Information Technology and hope to further continue in cybersecurity once I graduate.  Some skills I learned during my studies so far are how to use different programming languages such as Java and MatLab.

Some of my hobbies include drawing, cooking and working out. I love animals and have a dog and two birds. I’m more of a homebody, so I usually spend my time at home relaxing.

I don’t have much experience in building or fixing anything other than building things with Lego pieces, but I always love to try new things, and I believe that these skills can be transferable and very important for future problem solving. Since my main field of study is Information Technology, learning how to help others fix things and solve problems could benefit me in my learning while also being able to help others.

This is a bouquet of roses from Lego which I constructed in the past year with one of my very good friends.

I enjoy sets like these very much as they require attention to detail and focus. I have a few other Lego sets, but this one is probably my favorite so far. The finished product is also very satisfying to look at, and even though this set took me around an hour and was so enjoyable to construct.

Here is a photograph of a sculpture at the ROM, located in Downtown Toronto.

I remember going to the ROM last year and I think it was a really nice experience, and I loved being able to see all the different kinds of art pieces that they carried. I love looking at art pieces and admiring the various forms of art from the past.
