To detach the touchscreen assembly from the LCD, just put the parts in a 60 degrees celsius oven for minutes and it will come with the adhesive perfectly ;) (just tested)
I just bought few iPhone 7 adhesives from my supplier, and I noticed that the adhesive is not really fitting on the frame.
The iFixit shop pictures show us the iPhone 7 Plus adhesive for black color and the iPhone 7 adhesive for white color.
The iPhone 7 Plus seems to be more precise and correct than the iPhone 7 one : the iPhone 7 Plus one respect the screw hole at upper left corner for example, but the iPhone 7 one doesn’t, it has extra curves (same as iPhone 6s lower left corner) and it doesn’t take up the full width of the frame edge.
Can anyone show us the shape of an original adhesive from a brand new iPhone 7 to compare ?
38mm digitizer only costs about 12$ when full assembly is about 145$ (exc. VAT and other taxes).
Stop blaming Chinese products, everything is made in China, you just need to find the right supplier, and it does not depend on a specific Amazon or eBay seller, but from where the part is sourced.
Full assembly replacement (Digitizer + LCD) works perfectly, and digitizer replacement seems to require the IC replacement which is not reachable for everyone.
I suggest you to keep your de-bonded LCD waiting for a ready-to-use solution ;)
Hi hermann, did you rework the IC again ? I have touchscreen only parts and I'm interested in buying a broken Watch.
Be careful removing the front camera, be sure to heat the adhesive which is strongly retaining it, or you risk to break it in two.
The motherboard does not need strength to be removed, just push the two piece of plastic away.
