Is it possible to replace just the clutch cover?
Anyone know if the form factor/interface of this card is an industry standard or if it is custom fit for Apple? I know in earlier MacBooks they used a Mini PCIE interface, and I was able to swap the built-in 802.11n Airport card for a higher-performing and more compatible Intel 802.11ac card when running Linux. Just curious if I'd be able to do something similar with this model.
I’ve done this often enough that I marked the screws to remove with red marker.
How crucial is it to have tape here (foil or otherwise)?
If you do manage to lose one of these screws, will the cable still be held in properly if you reinstall it with only one?
Add me to the list of people who tried this but ended up with a non-working digitizer after replacement. Anyone ever figure this out?
Somehow the plastic disc with the slot for a coin got dislodged from the case, and I can't seem to get it open now. Any tips/links on how to open this without the aid of the plastic disc?
