Great! You have a coil zipper. Does your zipper have a zipper slider that operates from both sides, i.e. the zipper pull slides around so that you could open it from the inside? This is called a reversible zipper. The images below show a basic coil zipper (blue) and a reversible coil zipper (red). Select the image that matches your zipper.

I have a regular nylon coil zipper, but the back of the slider just has an "A" on it. The puller has YKK stamped, but I can't tell what teeth size it is. help!

Hi @edbohl35755 zips are ususally measured in millimetres. Just measure the across the teeth and you'll likely get something like 3mm or 5mm, these are the standard sizes for coil zippers (at least in Germany, let's hope in the US sizes aren't measured in sixteenths of an inch...). Once you know the size of your zip, you should be able to get a replacement zipper. Hope this helps :)
