On the blender, there is a safety switch at the back of the connection port for the blender cup attachments. Ensure that the switch is clean enough to move freely.

Faulty Motor

Your motor has become worn out over time or has been overworked. The next step will be to remove the base of the blender then look for the motor inside. If the motor is connected properly, you will have to replace it with a new one. Follow this guide.

Noticeably Weak Motor

While blending, the user notices the blender is not performing or blending to its usual standard

Blade Assembly Seizure

Your blade assembly has become dirty and no longer turns freely. Check around and under your blades to ensure they are clean. If not, remove any debris with a brush or similar cleaning tool.

OR

Your blade has become bent or deformed to the point where a replacement is needed. The blade will have to be removed and replaced with a new one.

Mechanical Issue Causing Blades Stop Spinning

The blades could be too loose to rotate in the cup when the motor is spinning and may need to be tightened. Check to see if the blades moved when you place light pressure on them. If they do move properly tighten them.

OR

The coupler linking the blade assembly and the motor is failing to connect properly, causing the motor to run without rotating the blades. If the coupler is failing to connect, you may need to replace parts. First, check the connection between the two couplers and ensure they are not stripped. If they are stripped and the connection is not longer strong purchase new couplers.

My Cusinart which I’ve had for quite a number of years has worked well …with one problem … after using the TOP sticks to the color and won’t dislodge for hours.  Now, it’s been stuck on for two days.  I’d like to save it if I can cause it’s a pain to research news ones and figure out what will work for me.
