Cuisinart Drip Coffee Maker:

Model CBC-6500PCC

In use:

Less than one year.

Problem:

Not heating

Cause:

Blown thermal fuse (240C) connected in series with one side of heating element (there are two, each one connected in series and attached directly to each side of the heating element.) Not replaceable by itself.

Remedy:

Replacement under warranty or purchase a used one at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Value Village, local online personal seller, etc.

Our Cuisinart will brew half the pot and then it will begin to steam as if ending the brew. It still has has 6 cups left to brew and steams away the remaining 6 cups without perking it up thru the tube and into the awaiting grounds. I’m guessing there is a tube malfunction and I should just order replacement parts right away to save time.

The single pod side of my coffee maker ends up with grinds everywhere instead of brewing the single cup. The needle seems fine. It has something to do with punching a hole in the top of the pod. Any advice?

After decades stopped buying Cuisinart and bought my first Krupps. Much better so far. None of the problems that Cuisinart typically has with covers not working, buttons not working, coffee pouring out when you want to fill a cup before the brewing is done. I have 5 Cuisinarts from the last 6 years that we are dumping!

Re-reading all of these comments and wonder why anyone would still buy Cuisinart?

Brewed a cup of coffee this morning, worked perfect. I cleaned the outside of the coffee maker with soapy water and a rag this morning and now the coffee maker will not turn on when moving the switch to on. The light for 1-4 cups comes on when the button is pushed and when you move the on/off switch to off, the light goes out so the “off” part of the switch is working, but the red light will not come on when you turn the switch to on. Not sure how cleaning the outside of the unit would break it. Has anyone had this problem?

Cuisinart DCC-1200 has code ETL on the screen when plugged in. How do I clear code? What does it mean?

My Cuisinart will not power on when the switch is flipped. If I tap on the front of the of the coffee maker, where the control buttons are, it will come on. I still have to keep an eye on it because it will stop brewing & then I have to repeat the prior step. I was so hoping this would be the last coffee maker I’d have to buy☹️

Jimmy Floyd - Reply

Hi! When I turn on my coffee maker, the "on" light turns on, but it doesn't burble, make noise, or brew coffee at all. Wondering if I should try to get it fixed or just replace it! (It's 15 years old.)
